ARRIVAL INFORMATION
Q. Where do I check in?
A. Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will meet you at the
vaporetto stop (or water taxi disembarkation point) closest to the
apartment (as agreed during our prior correspondence with you) and
accompany you to the property. You then check-in directly at the
property where they’ll give you the keys, show you the ins and outs of
the apartment, answer any queries you may have and give you all the
assistance you should need.
Q. Where do I check out?
A. At the property. When leaving one of our representatives will be there to collect keys etc.
Q. How do I get to my apartment from the airport and how long will it take?
A. You will receive detailed instructions on how to arrive in Venice
when you book your apartment with us. Please bear in mind that the water
bus service (known as the ‘vaporetto’ system) does not serve Venice’s
Marco Polo Airport or Treviso Airport (which is served by the airlines
Ryanair and Transavia). The following options are available, depending
on which airport you are flying into:
From Marco Polo Airport (http://www.veniceairport.it/)
The easiest and, we think, the most memorable way into Venice if arriving at Marco Polo is by private water taxi.
This can either be booked through us or found directly at the
airport. Although this is the more expensive option, it is also the most
convenient.
The following information and rates apply when booking a water taxi through us -
- A water taxi is able to carry up to a maximum of 10 passengers and a maximum of 10 pieces of luggage.
- the standard rate from Marco Polo Airport to the apartment (or vice
versa) is 95 euros for a maximum of 4 passengers. Supplement for each
additional passenger : 10 euros.
- supplement between 10 p.m. - 7 a.m. : 10 euros each trip (per water taxi).
Please be aware that special requests made to the water taxi driver to
travel to your apartment via the Grand Canal (when the apartment is not
located on the Grand Canal or is normally accessed via a quicker/more
direct route) may incur a supplement of approx. 35 euros per taxi (each
trip).
You are kindly requested to pay the water taxi driver directly at the end of each journey.
Alternatively you can take a road taxi or the bus (see http://www.actv.it/ and http://www.atvo.it/
for timetables) to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma you may choose
either to walk or take the water bus (the vaporetto) to the stop closest
to your apartment. (The most convenient vaporetto stop for your
apartment can be found in the apartment description on this website).
Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will meet you at the
vaporetto stop (or water taxi disembarkation point) closest to the
apartment (as agreed during our prior correspondence with you) and
accompany you to the property.
From Marco Polo Airport it will take approximately 25 minutes by water taxi and about an hour by other means of transport.
AND NOW, for that extra bit of pampering or at times when you feel
you'd like a helping hand, we are delighted to offer you a fully escorted private transfer service from Marco Polo Airport all the way to your chosen apartment.
Not only will our trusted English-speaking driver wait for your
arrival at the Airport Arrivals Hall, they'll welcome you onboard your
private taxi or minibus (assisting with your luggage of course) and take
you directly to the water taxi dock at Venice's Piazzale Roma. Once
there, you'll be placed in the very capable hands of our
English-speaking water taxi driver for your private water taxi ride into
the city where you'll meet your appointed team member
at the closest possible drop-off point to your apartment.
Throughout the transfer you'll be assured of a punctual, reliable and
very personalised service allowing for a relaxed, stress-free and most
enjoyable start to your stay.
This convenient and seamless transfer option is also available in
the opposite direction (i.e. from your apartment to Venice's Marco Polo
Airport at the end of your stay) and is only available to our clients by contacting us when making your apartment booking.
Rates which are per party and NOT per person are as follows -
Car taxi + private water taxi (seating a maximum of 3 guests with luggage) = €140.00 (one way).
Minibus + private water taxi (seating 4-8 guests with luggage) = €170.00 (one way).
You are kindly requested to pay the car taxi /minibus driver directly
in cash (euros) or credit card for each journey (i.e. at the start of
your transfer if arriving in Venice or at the end of your transfer if
departing).
From Treviso (Canova) Airport (http://www.trevisoairport.it/)
Please note that Treviso Airport (with its Ryanair and Transavia
flights) is situated inland and is therefore not served by water taxis,
the Alilaguna boat service or the water bus (vaporetto) system.
There is, however, a regular ATVO coach service which links this airport with Venice and usually coincides with flights. See http://www.atvo.it/
for timetables. The journey from Treviso Airport to Piazzale Roma
takes around 1 hour 10 minutes. From there you may choose to either take
a private water taxi (see 'Piazzale Roma' section below), walk or take
the water bus (the vaporetto) closest to your apartment. (The most
convenient vaporetto stop for your apartment can be found in the
apartment description on this website). Upon your arrival, one of our
representatives will meet you at the vaporetto stop (or water taxi

prior correspondence with you) and accompany you to the property.
