The Quality of Our Houses
We feel that the quality of our houses is considerably above
the average available. We have tried very hard to choose those that are
well situated, well furnished and offer good value for money.
We know all our properties very well indeed and if you have any questions about them please do not hesitate to ask.
Travel Arrangements
Our clientele is truly international and we have holidaymakers arriving
from all over the world. Unfortunately we are therefore not in a
position to make travel arrangements and you are free to make your own
bookings for the route, date and time of your choice.
Your local travel agent will be more than pleased to help you and will make it a very simple process indeed. Our travel
page contains a great deal of useful information and we are, of course,
always available to give advice on the best routes, the nearest
international airports etc.
Arrival and Departure
Your property will be ready for you to take over between 4pm
& 6pm on the first day of your holiday. If you have any problems en
route and will be unable to arrive before 6pm it is very important that
you telephone our office before this time so that alternative
arrangements can be made. We can accommodate a Sunday arrival but there
may be a 'call out charge' of Euros 20. You must leave your property
before 10am on the day of departure in order that it may prepared for
incoming guests.
Breakage & Cleaning Deposit
We request a returnable deposit, which we ask you to pay with
your final account, or with your full payment if you are booking less
than 9 weeks before the start of your holiday with us. This deposit is
noted on the 'Additional Information' section of the individual
properties and is held by us on behalf of the owner to cover any
breakages, damage and/or extra cleaning necessary. Regarding cleaning,
we do ask our clients to leave the property clean. If a house requires
extra cleaning our French partner company reserves the right on behalf of the owner
to deduct a suitable amount from the Breakage Deposit.
Other Services
Final Day Cleaning & Maid Service
Some of our properties have a certain amount of maid service included in
the rental price. Maid service in any of our properties is possible, as
is a comprehensive Final Day Cleaning Service. Please ask for details.
Cot & Highchair Hire
We have cots and highchairs available for hire at a cost of Euros 25 for
each item per week. Our supply is limited so please let us know your requirements as soon as possible.
Linen Hire
We have a limited supply of linen available (bedlinen, bath and hand
towels, and tea towels) at a cost of Euros 25 per person.
Bicycle Hire
Should you wish to hire bicycles during your stay we can make the
necessary arrangements for you.
We are able to arrange for many other additional services. Please
contact us for further details and we will do our very best to help.
Our Minimum Standards
All our properties meet the following standards of equipment and service:-
Kitchen
There will be a gas or electric cooker (or oven and hob),
refrigerator, adequate cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, glasses and
all other necessary household equipment for holiday use and suitable for
the maximum number the house accommodates.
A washing machine, ironing board and iron are always provided.
Mains Electricity
Is always provided, 220/230 volts.
Bedrooms
Pillows and blankets or duvets are always supplied, as is hanging and/or clothes storage space.
General
For additional information regarding the general standard of
furnishing of a particular property please do not hesitate to contact us
and we will be happy to reply with full details.
Pets on Holiday
Several of our home owners accept pets but by no means all. It
is therefore important that you confirm with us, at the time of
booking, whether pets are accepted in the house of your choice.
Swimming Pools
An ever increasing number of our properties have pools. These
are not normally heated and will not be available in the Low Season. The
use of swimming pools, which are unsupervised, is entirely at your own
risk. All of the pools featured in this brochure have security systems.
However it remains imperative that parents continue to ensure young
children are supervised at all times.
Wildlife
Birds, insects and animals are inevitably present in the
countryside around the houses, and sometimes live in inaccessible spaces
such as the eaves and attic. We must say that to some extent this is
normal and we cannot take any action to correct it. Only when, in our
opinion, there is a serious nuisance will action be taken.
Linen
All the houses have blankets or duvets and pillows but, unless otherwise stated, no bedlinen or towels for bathroom or kitchen.
Some properties have linen included in the rental price, in which case
it will be detailed in the property description. Our French partner company also
has a limited supply of linen available for hire at a cost of Euros 25
per person. Where linen is included in the hire of your property this
does not include any changeover of linen during your stay. If extra
linen is required the normal cost of Euros 25 per person applies.
When ordering linen please indicate on the Booking Form single or double, where there is a choice of beds.
Telephones
Most of our properties have telephones. (Please see the
individual details). They will be designated either Restricted, Detailed
or Metered. Restricted means that the telephone will receive incoming
calls worldwide but can only be used to make calls in the local area.
Detailed means that there is no restriction placed on the telephone at
all and that the owners' bills are itemised. In these cases, when the
bill is received (French telephone bills are issued every two months), a
copy of the relevant section of the bill will be sent to you and the
cost of calls deducted from your breakage deposit, the balance of which
will be refunded to you at the same time. With Metered systems the
reading will be taken immediately after your departure and the costs
deducted from your refundable breakage deposit.
House Books
In each of our properties we leave a house book giving lots of
useful information about the house and its surrounding area. Please
take a few minutes to read this when you arrive. If you need any more
